The Great Lent is a time set aside to allow every member of the Holy Church to embark on a 50-day spiritual journey as we prepare ourselves for the great Feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord.
We are pleased to present a Sunday School Lenten Retreat Guide developed by the Educational Enhancement team for the 2026 Lenten Season. In order to provide a consistent education experience throughout the diocese, it is encouraged for each region/parish to conduct a Sunday School Lenten retreat based on the theme presented here. These are resources, templates, topics, guides, and activities that can be used to conduct such a Lenten Retreat for your Sunday School students at the regional or parish level.

Note to Teachers: This lesson is divided into four classes. The class break ups are just a guideline, please divide the classes as works best for your situation.
Class 1 – is for ages 3-5.
Class 2 – is for ages 6-8.
Class 3 – is for ages 9-11.
Class 4 – is for ages 12 and above.
